Forty years since the reform and opening-up policy, through this multiple and changeful period, the ethics and moral development of China has accumulated culture consensus and become no longer suffered from perplexities. How could Chinese ethics be no longer suffered from perplexities? Shiller once said that, ‘In a sense of body, we are still civic of our era( on this kind of things we actually do not have a choice), but in a sense of spirit, the privilege and responsibility for a philosopher and imaginative writer is to get rid of the shackles of a certain nation and a certain era and become a real contemporary of all ages.’ Modern Chinese ethics should not only baptize the pure and fresh breath of these 40 years, but should also accumulate the thoughts and academic essence from this tide historical revolution into a ‘new tradition’ of the development of Chinese ethics.
